Junior Enterprises Switzerland (JES)

As at 29 September 2026 Calendar years: 2027-2028-2029

Art. 1 - Purpose

This document sets out the amount of the annual membership fees payable by the member associations of Junior Enterprises Switzerland (JES), their method of calculation, the information that Members are required to provide for that purpose, and the arrangements and deadlines for payment, pursuant to Art. 39 of the Statutes.

It is adopted by the General Assembly upon proposal of the Executive Committee and applies to all Members for the relevant calendar year.

Art. 2 - Calculation method

The reference turnover refers to the total revenue derived from services invoiced by the Junior Enterprise, sponsorship, donations and grants, excluding value added tax, generated between 1 January and 31 December of the previous calendar year. For a Member not subject to VAT, the amounts received shall be taken as the basis.

The annual membership fee payable by each Junior Enterprise is determined on the basis of the following two criteria:

  1. the turnover generated during the preceding calendar year;
  2. the number of members comprising the Junior Enterprise as at 1 January of each year.

The membership fee is calculated in accordance with the following fee scale: For each calendar year, the reference turnover is the turnover generated during the preceding calendar year. Accordingly, for the membership fee payable for 2027, the reference turnover is the turnover generated between 1 January and 31 December 2026.

The turnover-based component corresponds to 1.5% of the reference turnover, subject to a minimum amount of CHF 500 and a maximum amount of CHF 2,000.

The member-count component is determined in accordance with the following fee scale:

Year Amount per member
2027 CHF 0.-
2028 CHF 10.-
2029 CHF 20.-

The annual membership fee is the sum of the amounts calculated under the two criteria.

Art. 3 - Indexation

The amounts set out in this document for 2027 constitute the reference amounts. With effect from 1 January 2028, all fixed amounts set out in this document, including the minimum and maximum turnover-based amounts, shall be indexed annually in line with inflation by reference to the reference amounts applicable as at 1 January 2027. The amount per member is not index-linked.

The indexation shall be calculated on the basis of the change in the Swiss Consumer Price Index (CPI) published by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO) between 1 January 2027 and 1 January of the relevant year.

Art. 4 - Provision of information

Each Member shall provide the Executive Committee, within the deadline set by the Executive Committee, with the information required to calculate its membership fee.
