Title 1: General Provisions

Art. 1 - Legal form and name

Pursuant to Articles 60 et seq. of the Swiss Civil Code (CC), a national non-profit association is hereby established under the name "JUNIOR ENTERPRISES SWITZERLAND", abbreviated to "JE SWITZERLAND" or "JES", hereinafter referred to as the "Association". The Association constitutes the national confederation of Junior Enterprises in Switzerland.

Art. 2 - Registered office

The registered office of the Association is in Switzerland. The Executive Committee shall determine its location and address.

Its transfer shall be decided by the Executive Committee; it shall not constitute an amendment to these Statutes and shall not require a decision of the General Assembly. The Executive Committee shall inform the Members without delay and shall make any notifications and registrations required.

Art. 3 - Duration

The Association is established for an indefinite period. It may be dissolved at any time in accordance with Art. 43 of these Statutes.

Art. 4 - Language

The official language of the Association is French. These Statutes may be translated into other languages. In the event of any discrepancy or conflict between the different language versions, only the French version shall prevail.

Art. 5 - Definitions

A Junior Enterprise, abbreviated to "JE", is a Swiss or Liechtenstein non-profit association established and managed exclusively by students in higher education which provides services to companies, institutions and private individuals, with the primary purpose of enhancing its members' learning through practical experience.

It must comprise students who are at least 18 years of age and enrolled at a higher education institution.

A person in the year following completion of their course of study may be regarded as a student, provided that their involvement in the Junior Enterprises movement has continued without interruption.

A Junior Initiative, abbreviated to "JI", is an intermediate status in the process of establishing a Junior Enterprise, with the aim of joining the Network.

Art. 6 - Purpose of the Association

The Association is non-profit, non-political and non-religious. It brings together and represents its member associations, hereinafter referred to as the "Network", and coordinates their activities at national and international level.
